State Police Beat

State Police Troop M Fogelsville allege Johnathon Thomas Braxmeier caused a disturbance 4:16 a.m. Aug. 17 along Bausch Road, Lynn Township.

Police say upon arrival, troopers allegedly found Braxmeier banging on vehicles, unclothed and highly intoxicated.

Charges for public drunkenness against Braxmeier were filed with District Judge Daniel Trexler, Coopersburg.

State Police Troop M Bethlehem allege Daniel C. Magliane, 37, of Slatington struck and physically restrained another individual during a domestic violence incident inside a vehicle of which he took control 7:12 p.m. July 31 on Route 873 between Slatington and Schnecksville, Washington Township.

Police say Magliane was arrested and charged with recklessly endangering another person.

He was arraigned before District Judge David M. Howells Jr., Allentown.

He was placed in Lehigh County Jail unable to post bail.

The other individual suffered minor injuries as a result of this incident, police say.

Betty A. Davis, 65, of New Tripoli, was driving a 2012 Ford Escape SUV when it hit a utility pole 12:57 p.m. Aug. 20 along Schochary Road, Lynn Township, say State Police Troop M Fogelsville.

According to police, Davis was driving northbound on Schochary Road, south of Cardinal Road, negotiating a curve, when she allegedly failed to maintain a safe speed and apply the brakes in time.

As a result, the SUV went off the left side of the roadway, down an embankment and hit the utility pole with its front bumper, before coming to a final rest in a grassy field, facing west.

Davis, who was wearing her seat belt, sustained several injuries.

She was transported by Cetronia Ambulance Corps to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

The SUV sustained disabling damage to its front-end and towed from the scene by Getz’s Service Center.

Multiple air bags deployed, police say.

Med-Ed was notified of the damaged pole.

Davis was charged with driving at an unsafe speed.

New Tripoli Fire Department assisted at the scene.
