Personnel changes approved

At the Aug. 17 Salisbury Township School District board meeting, a number of personnel changes were approved.

The following resignations were accepted: Celeste Green, full-time psychologist at Harry S Truman Elementary School and Western Salisbury Elementary School effective Aug. 10; Barbara Smedley as a part-time nurse at WSE effective July 18; Kristine Alder as a part-time cafeteria worker at Salisbury High School effective Aug. 6; Caitlin Hrebik as a part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at WSE effective Aug. 5; Jennifer Smith as a part-time intervention instructional assistant at HST effective Aug. 12 and Benjamin Hoffman as a junior varsity boys soccer coach effective Aug. 7.

Celeste Green was contracted to provide psychological services at an hourly rate of $60 at a date to be determined and pending completion of contract.

Michael Vacaro was contracted to provide special education services for five days during the summer effective Aug. 2.

Morag Christie-Churm was contracted to provide special education services four days a week effective Aug. 23 with an ending date to be determined.

The hours were increased for Betty Engle from 4.75 hours a day part-time custodian at SHS to 8 hours a day full-time second shift custodian at SHS effective July 5.

Steven Huegel was approved as a part-time evening custodian at SHS effective July 11.

Christopher Barlieb was approved as a part-time evening custodian at WSE effective July 11.

Debra Laczo’s hours were increased from a 4.5 hours a day part-time head cook at WSE to a five hours a day part-time head cook at WSE effective July 5.

Kari Lessel’s hours were increased from a 3.25 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at SHS to a 4 hours a day part-time RTI/IST instructional assistant at HST effective Aug. 24.

Sheri Mohry was transferred from a 4.5 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at Salisbury Middle School to a 4.5 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at HST effective Aug. 24.

Barbara Ebner was transferred from a 4.5 hours a day part-time RTI/IST instructional assistant at HST to a 4.5 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at SHS effective Aug. 24.

Diane Walbert was transferred from a 4.5 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at HST to a 4.5 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at SMS effective Aug. 24.

Melissa Kristie was transferred from a 4 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at SMS to a 4 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at HST effective Aug. 24.

Allyssa Trunk was approved, pending completion of requirements, as a 4 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at HST effective Aug. 24.

Anna Young was approved, pending completion of requirements, as a 4 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at HST effective Aug. 18.

Holly Gerlach was approved, pending completion of requirements, as a 4 hours a day part-time instructional assistant at WSE effective Aug. 29.

Marshall Bonaskiewich was approved, pending completion of requirements as a 4 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at SHS effective Aug. 24.

Terri-Jean Walck was approved, pending completion of requirements as a 4 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at SHS effective Aug. 18.

Karen Orlemann was approved as a 4 hours a day part-time one-to-one instructional assistant at SHS effective Aug. 24.

Shaun Cain was approved, pending completion of requirements, as a 5 hours a day part-time 12-month secretary at the administration building effective Aug. 22.

Kelly Butterbaugh was approved as the English/Reading department chairperson for the first semester of the 2016-2017 school term.

Kelly Wetherhold was approved as the high school media advisor for the 2016-2017 school year.

The board acknowledged tenure status for the following professional employees as a result of three years of satisfactory service effective Aug. 21: Mario Amato, Kara Bellis, Carla Pacitti, Richard Pearce and Aaron Yetter.

The following individuals were approved as mentors for the 2016-2017 school year: Laura Dos Santos for Brenda Cherry; John Wagner for Stani Schiavone; Steven Tremblay for Jenny Hur; Cathy Rae for Sara Kimble; Michael Vacaro and Michael Posch for Amanda Holschwander; Kelly Butterbaugh for Freya de Conde and Michael Frederick for Sarah Kehl.

In coaching news, Lisa Grim was approved, pending completion of requirements, as the SMS cheerleader coach - winter for the 2016-2017 school year. Juan Garcia was approved as the head wrestling coach.Robert Tocci, Christina Young, Carly Brown and Nanette DeRemer were approved as volunteer twirling coaches. Benjamin Hoffman was approved as a volunteer junior varsity boys soccer coach, Colin Smith was approved, pending completion of requirements, as a volunteer assistant marching band director, David Sabol was approved, pending completion of requirements, as a volunteer cross country coach and Christopher Ford was approved, pending completion of requirements, as a volunteer football coach.
