Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, will be having a Zoo in Paradise after-hours event, rain or shine, 5:30-10 p.m. Aug. 20.

Attendees over the age of 21 are invited to enjoy the sounds of the Jimmy Buffet tribute band, Parrotbeach.

There will be a 50/50 drawing and raffle items plus a beach ball and shark toss.

All proceeds benefit the Zoo.

There will be a Praise in the Park benefit concert for Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry 5-8 p.m. Aug. 28 in Ontelaunee Park, Lynn Township.

Local church praise bands and Jack Snyder and Friends will perform.

The event is sponsored by Lynn Township Recreation Advisory Committee.

Food will be available for purchase.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, is having a church picnic 3-9 p.m. Sept. 10 in the church grove, Leather Corner Post, Orefield.

Music will be provided by The Midnight Band.

There will be good food, old-fashioned cakewalks, raffles and activities for the children.
