Beekeepers

There will be a free educational event sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Beekeepers Association 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Aug. 20, rain or shine, at Pool Wildlife Sanctuary, 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus.

See a working observation hive with the queen bee laying eggs and local beekeepers will give presentations.

Every hour, from noon to 3 p.m., beekeepers will demonstrate the extraction of raw honey from the hive.

Experience role playing inside and outside the beehive in the fun and educational game ”Imagine Me … A Busy, Busy Honey Bee.”
