Northwestern Recreation Commission is hosting its 18th annual Night in the Country celebration 4-10 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Community Park, Northwest Road and Route 309, New Tripoli. Rain date is Aug. 21.

There will be live music, a car cruise, bingo, plus great food and activities.

To end the evening, a fireworks display is planned.

An admission donation is accepted. Volunteers for the event are needed.

The clothing closet at Ebenezer UCC, New Tripoli, will be open from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 11 and 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 13.

Clothes are available free for anyone who needs them. The closet is not accepting items at this time.

Ebenezer Church will have its Rally Day Pancake and Sausage Breakfast 9-10 a.m. Sept. 11 to kick off the new Sunday School year.

Sunday School, for all ages, begins 9-10 a.m. Sept. 18.

New Tripoli’s free Community Movie Nights will be offered all summer and into the fall.

Located next to New Tripoli Bank, the movies start at 8 p.m. Park cars at the bank.

Bring lawn chairs, blankets, food and beverages but use trash cans.

Everyone is invited to come out and have fun with their friends and neighbors.

The next show is Where Hope Grows on Aug. 27.
