It was week seven at Camp Whitehall and, after spending a week at Cementon Park, the campers were excited to be back home at Jefferson.
Nothing could hinder their enthusiasm either, not even a rainy Monday morning. They made the most of being stuck inside by playing Jump the River and Silent Ball. When the rain finally cleared, the campers showed off their basketball skills in a game of Knock Out. Later in the day, what started as a silly, impromptu sprinting challenge turned into a full-fledged competition to see who could run across the park the fastest. The counselors even joined in on the challenge. Congratulations to Kevin, who took the gold!
As the week continued, campers participated in Kickball, Dodgeball, Handball and Capture the Flag. They also played games such as Hungry, Hungry Giants and Fastest in the West. It was great to feel the team spirit and see such excellent sportsmanship in these young campers!
This week was beach week! The campers adventured to Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark. Even though it was cool and cloudy, the campers didn’t let that stop the fun. They were excited to try out all the water slides, making sure to go on each and every one. When the day was over, the campers were definitely exhausted from all the fun!
As the week came to a close, the counselors were extremely proud to name Lucas and Jenny as Campers of the Week!
