Lehigh Valley Active Life’s seventh annual senior spelling bee will take place at the Great Allentown Fair 1:30 p.m. Aug. 30.

Anyone aged 55 or older can enter. There is a registration cost. Checks must be sent to Lehigh Valley Active Life, 2010 Main St., Whitehall, 18052. The registration deadline is Aug. 8. First place winner earns $100; second place $50 and third place $25. Written elimination is 7 p.m. Aug. 18 at Lehigh Valley Active Life, 1633 W. Elm St., Allentown.
