Aug. 6

The Lehigh Valley Chapter of Executive Women International will hold its fourth annual golf outing at Putt-U in Center Valley. Funds raised will benefit the chapter’s ASIST scholarships. The events starts with registration, coffee and pastries 8 to 9 a.m. Tee time is 9 a.m. There is a fee per golfer or for a team of four. Aug. 20

The finale for the Emmaus Public Library’s summer reading program, “On Your Mark, Get Set…Read,” will be held 2 p.m. on the library lawn, 11. E. Main St., Emmaus. The program features birds from the New York Bronx Zoo show, “Birds in Flight.” The birds will be free to fly about the library’s large property and green space demonstrating their natural abilities and tendencies and at times may interact with the people in the audience. The program is sponsored by the Emmaus Lioness Club, Friends of the Emmaus Public Library and a generous library patron.

The Emmaus Moravian Church, 146 Main St., will hold a back-to-school shop featuring gently used and some new clothes, shoes, sports equipment, backpacks and lunch boxes for youngsters in kindergarten through 12th grade. Also offered are new school supplies free as long as the supplies last. The shop is open to the community 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Aug. 21

The 65th annual Vera Cruz Homecoming, sponsored by the Vera Cruz Community Association and held rain or shine at Mystic Chain Park. It is open to residents and nonresidents of Vera Cruz, noon to 8 p.m. There are plenty of activities for adults and children. To volunteer to help at the Homecoming or for questions, call Audra Berner at 610-967-5432.

Aug. 24

Emmaus Historical Society will sponsor an “Antique Appraisal Program & 50/50 Raffle” 4 to 8 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church parish hall, Emmaus. Certified appraisers will provide verbal appraisals for one or two items per participant. There is a cost. Food and refreshments available at a cost. Sept. 24

Lower Milford Township’s annual Fall Festival 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine, on the township building grounds, 7607 Chestnut Hill Church Road. For more information, call 610-967-4949. Vendors are wanted. Find more information on reserving a spot on the township website.

The Emmaus 1803 House A Very Merrie Halloween, a Halloween craft show and fall festival. For information, visit www.1803house.org. Proceeds from this event benefit the preservation and maintenance of the historic 1803 House, 55 S. Keystone Ave.
