Weisenberg Township Volunteer Fire Department, 2500 Golden Key Road, Kutztown, is sponsoring a hoagie sale until Aug. 30.

Pick up hoagies between 4:30-6 p.m. Sept. 8.

On the menu are Italian, ham and cheese, turkey, roast beef and tuna.

Proceeds benefit the local fire department, plus the hoagies taste great.

Old Time Plowboys Inc. will have its 27th anniversary show at the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center, 22 Luckenbill Road, Kutztown, (next to Kutztown University) on Aug. 13 and 14.

Vintage farm equipment as well as hit and miss engines will be on display.

Admission and parking are free.

Homemade foods will be available and there will be barrel and wagon rides, children’s tent with activities, child’s pedal pull, vendors and craftsmen.

There will be an antique tractor parade both days.

Saturday’s show runs 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with music by Schools Out Band from 5-8 p.m.

The sixth annual car and truck cruise will take place 3 p.m. to dusk.

Sunday’s show runs 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

A barnyard church service will be offered 9:15 a.m. by the Rev. Gene Smith.

Music will be provided by Days of Old from noon to 3 p.m.

Lawn and garden tractor pulls will be on the agenda as well.

Friday Night in the Light will be presented at 7 p.m. Aug. 5 in the pavilion, weather permitting, at Hope Community Church, 7974 Claussville Road, Fogelsville.

“Glorify” is a Christian Southern Rock music band featuring original songs using powerhouse vocals and gifted musicians to create a unique and powerful sound.
