Crime Victims Council: Rally Through the Valley set for Sept. 18

Crime Victims Council of Lehigh Valley Inc. will hold its Rally Through the Valley benefit motorcycle poker run and pig roast 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 18.

This 17th annual event helps local victims of crime.

The 60-mile route will start with registration and check-in at Nazareth Borough Park, North Broad Street, Nazareth, and will end at Emmaus Community Park, 1401 Shimersville Road, Emmaus. Following the run, riders will be treated to an all-you-can-eat pig roast and live music 1-3 p.m. by Jake Kaligis & The New Constitution.

Additionally, numerous door prizes and raffle baskets, donated by local merchants and businesses, will be awarded. Two top prizes of VISA gift cards, in the amounts of $250 and $100, will be presented to the top two riders raising the most pledges over $200. Cash prizes also will be awarded to the best poker hands.

To register, log on to cvclv.org/rally. There is a registration fee. Anyone registering by Sept. 9 will receive a free Rally Through the Valley T-shirt and commemorative ride pin. Day-of registration also is available.

All funds collected at this event will benefit crime victims in Lehigh and Northampton counties who receive services from Crime Victims Council at no cost.
