Neffs Fire Co. wins four awards at four-county parade

Lehigh County Station 16, Neffs Volunteer Fire Company, is one of many volunteer fire companies that participated in the combined Trexlertown Volunteer Fire Company’s 100th year anniversary celebration and Four-County Parade on July 16.

Neffs fire team members put in 200 hours cleaning and polishing three trucks in preparation for judging.

All their hard work paid off when they won four trophies: first place for “Best Tanker 1,500 Gallons or More,” second place for “Best Quint” (aerial truck), Special Judges Award for Engine 1611 and Best Appearing Overall Fire Company (three pieces or more).

This was the first time in its 74 years Neffs Volunteer Fire Company has won “Best Appearing Fire Company.”
