Lehigh Carbon Community College will offer a new course regarding the responsible usage of firearms as a defense.

The 20-hour course will teach students key decision-making skills when using a firearm, and will cover topics such as action vs reaction, state and national firearm laws, gun care and shooting while moving.

Students must bring their own firearms and ammunition. There is a cost.

The course will be offered Sept. 14, Oct. 29 and Dec. 10. Times and locations will vary between LCCC’s main campus and indoor ranges off campus.
