Camp Jefferson was full of eager campers wanting to beat the heat with this week’s field trip to Dutch Springs! There were many obstacle courses and floating icebergs for our campers to climb and race all over. What seemed to be the most popular, though, was The Blob. The campers enjoyed seeing how far they could launch their friends. Even the counselors took part in racing the campers and each other around the obstacle courses.

The rest of the week was filled with many outside games, including Fastest in the West, Kickball and Knockout. To let the campers take a break from the heat, we also played indoor games like Jump the River and Silent Ball.

As a craft this week, each camper could design a hat. A few campers took fashion to a whole new level by decorating their hats with colorful patterned duct tape. The campers even made the counselors neon hats, which matched this week’s neon theme.

After all of these activities, we took our daily trips to the pool.

Congratulations to this week’s Campers of the Week, Cole and Nyani. They were well behaved and participated in every activity this week. We are excited to see all the campers again this week!
