Christ’s Church to host penny party on July 29
Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, will host a penny party 7 p.m. July 29. Doors open 5:30 p.m.
Movie night at the church will be 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5.
The movie, “The Good Dinosaur,” will be shown at 8:30 p.m. outside the church. Bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Tickets and popcorn will be free. Hot dogs, drinks and candy will be available to purchase.

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, will be having a Walk on the Wild Side summer camp 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 25-29.
Campers will learn about different species through animal encounters, nature hikes, interactive games, crafts, zoo tours and a creek study.
The zoo will be hosting an Uncorked for Conservation cocktail party to raise funds toward bringing the Masai giraffes to the Lehigh Valley 5:30-9 p.m. July 28 at the zoo.
Ticket price includes hors d’oeuvres and cocktail hour, animal encounters and a tour with the zoo president.
There will be a silent auction.
Food will provided by Carrabba’s Italian Grill.

Zoo Crew Explorer Camp for kids ages 12 to 14 will be offered 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 1-5.
Campers will sleep overnight at the zoo on Aug. 4. Camp ends at noon Aug. 5.
Campers will learn about different zoo careers, what it takes to be a zoo keeper working with endangered animals and what they can do to protect wildlife.
Each day campers will learn about new animals through encounters and helping keepers prepare diets and clean enclosures for different zoo ambassadors.
Campers will also participate in zoo tours, interactive games, crafts and a sleep over at the zoo.
There will be a Penguins and Friends Pre-Zoo camp for kids ages 4-5 from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 8-12.
Campers will learn about the different species of penguins and who their friends are while enjoying animal encounters, crafts, interactive games, zoo tours and a creek study.

Morgenland Union Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, is having a summer picnic 4-9 p.m. Aug. 13 in the church grove, Leather Corner Post, Orefield.
Music will be provided by the Country Rythmn Band.
There will be door and band prizes, an old-fashioned cakewalk, games and activities for children.
Menu includes turkey and ham barbecue, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, french fries, dessert, ice cream, soft drinks, coffee and candy.
