Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) is offering a 20-hour course in decision-making for those who might use a firearm in defense.

Topics include mental preparation, action versus reaction principles, advanced firearms handling, carrying, storing and cleaning a firearm, reloading techniques and shooting while moving.

Students learn defensive decision-making skills and advanced firearm handling skills through a variety of lecture topics and range testing on the shooting range.

United States and Pennsylvania law will be covered.

Students must provide their own firearm, ammunition and related equipment.

Times and locations vary between LCCC’s main campus in Schnecksville and an off-campus indoor range.

Classes begin July 18, Sept. 14, Oct. 29 and Dec. 10.
