Volunteer firefighters from Neffs, Fogelsville, Greenawalds, Schnecksville, Tri-Clover and Woodlawn fire departments along with Whitehall’s Rapid Intervention Team and Northern Valley ambulance and Macungie Ambulance Rehabilitation unit were dispatched around 12:39 p.m. July 8 for a two-alarm fire at 3454 Lil Wolf Drive, North Whitehall Township.
Tri-Clover Fire Chief Jeff Johnson told The Press the fire was called under control around 1 p.m.
“The fire started in the kitchen with the stove,” Johnson said.
“There were no injuries,” he said. “There was a cat with kittens in the home.”
Johnson said he was at a nearby apartment complex when he received the fire call.
Even before he arrived on scene, the call was dispatched as “flames showing and entrapment,” so he asked for a second alarm to be toned out.
Johnson estimates damage to the home is minor.
Loa Esquilín García, regional communication manager with the American Red Cross Eastern Pennsylvania, emailed The Press that the Red Cross also responded to the scene.
“The Red Cross will assess the needs of those impacted and provide assistance as needed,” stated García.
According to Lehigh County assessment records, the home is owned by Saskya Reyes.
Woodlawn Fire Department's Cascade Unit along with Tri-Clover and Schnecksville fire departments responded July 8 for a two-alarm fire at 3454 Lil Wolf Drive, North Whitehall Township.
