Lehigh Valley Zoo offering summer camps for kids

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is offering a Wild Tracks Safari camp for kids ages 9 to 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 11-15.

Campers will learn how to find and identify different animal species while learning how to cast a footprint.

Walk on the Wildside Cub Camp for kids ages 6 to 8 will be offered 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 25-29.

Campers will discover where and how different animals survive in the wild.

Both camps will be packed with fun-filled activities including animal encounters, crafts, interactive games, nature hikes, zoo tours and more.

Animal Expeditions camp for kids ages 12 to 14 will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 18-21.

There will be an overnight sleepout at the zoo on Thursday. Camp ends noon July 22.

Campers will help keepers prepare diets and clean enclosures for some zoo ambassadors and participate in zoo tours, interactive games, animal encounters and crafts.

Signature Zoo Farm Fest will be July 16. World Snake Day is July 17 and National Zoo Keepers Week will be July 17-23.
