Upper Milford Historical Society meeting 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township building, Old Zionsville. Frank Willis, award-winning powder horn and bag artisan, will present a talk on historic techniques of early craftsmen. Refreshments will be provided and all are welcome. The Macungie Band concert 6 p.m. at Emmaus Community Park. The band is scheduled to play many songs including “The Star Spangled Banner,” “Best Broadway Marches,” “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” “The Lion King,” “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and many more.

July 4

Old-Fashioned Fourth of July picnic 10 a.m. at Macungie Memorial Park. Bicycle/wagon parade begins 10 a.m.; duck race 11 a.m. Macungie Band will perform 11:30 a.m. For more information, contact dhorner2@juno.com.

The Crazy Quilters Quilt Guild will meet 7 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus. The evening’s program will be an ice cream social and a fashion show given by local young sewing students. Visitors are welcome. There will be a charge for visitors. Senior Activities for Growth and Enrichment noon to 2 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Active Life, 1633 W. Elm St., Allentown, led by Trisha Baker. This is an interactive program for mental and physical stimulation and growth for seniors. Vacation Bible School at Horizon Church, 2613 W. South St., Allentown. Children age five to fifth grade are invited to the Horizon Royal Palace 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. through July 22 for a week filled with movies, music, games, crafts and snacks.
