The First Niagara Bank, 861 N. Route 100, Upper Macungie Township, was robbed just before 10 a.m. June 15.
Upper Macungie police say a man, described as standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a slightly dark skin tone and dark scruff on his chin, entered the bank through the rear entrance and approached a teller.
He then brandished a silver revolver and told the teller it was a robbery.
The robber was wearing a clear mask and dark pants.
He had a dark, hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head.
His vehicle is described as a light colored (white or silver) sedan, police say.
The robber escaped with an undetermined amount of money through the same rear bank door.
A dye pack exploded and may have discharged red dye on the man, his clothing or vehicle.
No bank employees were injured, police say.
State Police Troop M Fogelsville and agents from the Allentown office of the FBI assisted at the scene.
