Pointe West sewer now belongs to the LCA

The Lehigh County Authority has now officially taken over sewer service for the 43 residents of Pointe West.

Arrangements with LCA had been long in the works and were finally approved.

In other business, Road Foreman Joe Kalusky reported to Lowhill Township supervisors at their June 7 meeting four pipes have been placed in Gruber Road.

The road will be ready for paving after it gets rolled and tamped down.

The Lehigh County Association of Township Officials will have its annual summer convention Aug. 5 at the Schnecksville Fire Company.

This year marks the 100th anniversary celebration for LCATO. All second class township officials and workers are invited to attend.

Finally, the board thanked Stone Haven Supply, owned by board Vice Chair George Wessner Jr., who graciously donated stone and mulch for the township building grounds.

Of note, the next board of supervisors meeting will be 7:30 p.m. July 14 due to the Fourth of July holiday week.
