Maryland man killed in Greenwich Twp crash

Ronald D. Kuhn, 29, of Severn, Md., was killed when the 2008 Honda Civic he was driving was struck by a 2008 Volvo Show Hauler motor home driven by Timothy T. Rubright, 51 of Kutztown, 8:03 a.m. June 8 at the intersection of Old Route 22 and Long Lane Road, Greenwich Township, Berks County.

According to State Police Troop L Hamburg, Kuhn died at the scene due to multiple injuries.

Police say the Honda was southbound on Long Lane Road, approaching the intersection with Old Route 22 when it crested a small hill.

Kuhn attempted to miss the stopped car and swerved around the car and traveled into the intersection and onto Old Route 22, police say.

According to police, the motor home was westbound on Old Route 22 when it struck the Honda on the driver’s side door.

Police say the motor home pushed the Honda approximately 200 feet west on Old Route 22 before it came to rest in the middle of roadway.

The motor home came to rest against an embankment along the eastbound side of Old Route 22, police say.

Police say both drivers were wearing their seat belts. Kutztown Ambulance, Kutztown Fire Department, Weisenberg Township and VJ Wood Towing assisted at the scene.
