Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, is having its summer picnic 4-9 p.m. June 25 in the church grove.

Rain date is 1-6 p.m. June 26.

Music will be provided by The Main Street Cruisers.

There will be good food, old-fashioned cakewalks, raffles and activities for the children.

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is having its annual 1K-9 dog walk (0.62 miles) to raise money for animal welfare projects June 18.

Registration begins 7:30 a.m.

The walk will start 8:30 a.m. in the zoo’s parking lot, through the game preserve, along elk ridge trail, the Jordan Creek and back to the parking lot.

The zoo is offering a wild beginnings toddler program for kids ages 18 months to 3 years 9:30-11 a.m. June 13.

Through interactive activities and nature play children will be exposed to toddler development milestones.

Participants will meet ambassador animals, reflect in nature and be inspired to create nature play.

One adult admitted free with each paying child.

Pre-zoo Animals A to Z Camp for children ages 4 and 5 is being offered 9 a.m.-noon June 27 through July 1.

As they venture through the alphabet, campers will discover the funny names some animals have.

The zoo’s Cub Under Cover Animals Camp for kids 6-8 will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 20-24.

Campers will learn how to find and identify different animals who like to be heard and not seen.

Each day, both the pre-zoo Animals A to Z camp and the Cub Under Cover Animals camp will be packed with fun filled activities that will include animal encounters, crafts, interactive games, nature hikes and zoo tours.
