Gretchen Schuck- Hartranft, 43, of Slatedale, died May 21, 2016, in her home. She and her husband Chris Hartranft were married nine years in October 2015.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Allen V. “Gitzer” and Diane M. (Wertman) Schuck.

She was a 1990 graduate of Northern Lehigh.

She loved her family with all her heart and was a loving, compassionate and understanding person who will be greatly missed.

She enjoyed camping, music, and spending quality time with her family.

She was a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Slatington.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister Michele M., wife of Brett Hunsicker; brothers Gregory A. Schuck and wife, Tami, Michael T. Schuck and wife, Jacqueline Ann; grandmother Pauline H. Lloyd; uncles Dale H. Wertman and wife, Rosemarie, and Russell Lloyd and wife, Grace; nephews Jordan B. Hunsicker, Blake M. Schuck and Stefan J. Moyer; nieces Brianna M. Schuck and Samantha M. Moyer; and numerous cousins. Funeral services were private at the convenience of the family.
