At this year’s Miller-Keystone Blood Center high school recognition breakfast, senior Olivia King was among the 32 recipients of the 2016 Blood Donor Recruitment Scholarship.
Presented annually in May, the scholarship rewards high schoolers for helping increase the available blood supply.
Participating students can earn the scholarship by hosting blood drives with the Miller-Keystone Blood Center and gaining members. Recipients must have been active on their school’s blood drive committee.
Awards are presented based on the results of each school’s individual drive.
