Don’t miss it! Heidelberg Union Church will not be at Night in the Country this year, but come to the church picnic and basket social 12:30-6 p.m. June 5 at 5187 Irvin Road, Saegersville area of Heidelberg Township.

All are welcome to come out and enjoy a relaxing and fun afternoon in the country. The event will take place rain or shine.

Remember to dress casually and bring lawn chairs, family and friends.

A delicious variety of food will be available for purchase.

Jack and Friends will be entertaining the crowds with lots of toe-tapping music during the afternoon.

There will also be a cake walk, children’s games, face painting and playground.

Model A antique cars are invited.

The basket social drawing will be 5 p.m.

Spread the word! Heidelberg Association of Retired Persons, better known as H.A.R.P., will be taking yet another interesting road trip June 7 to the Eight Oaks Craft Distillers in New Tripoli for a tour of Lynn Township’s newest distillery.

Retirees will meet 11 a.m. at the distillery.

Following the one-hour tour, this busy bunch of retirees will head right down the street to Schleicher’s Family Restaurant for a little lunch.

Mark your calendar! Heidelberg UCC Graduate Recognition Sunday is scheduled for 11 a.m. June 12.

The Lutheran Graduate Recognition Sunday will be 8:30 a.m. June 19.
