The Salisbury chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions receives a mini grant from the Pennsylvania DUI Association with funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to implement activities regarding peer-to-peer teen safe driving programs.
Salisbury SADD coordinator Sarah Wascura then partnered with the Salisbury Township Police Department, the Center for Humanistic Change and the trauma department of the Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest to provide safe driving programs to high school students May 13 – the day before prom.
Salisbury High School students John Blackledge and Jack Frankenfield wear goggles simulating beer drinking and attempt a Mario driving program. Blackledge said he was “dizzy” while wearing the goggles and Frankenfield said, “I don't know where everything is. Everything is blurry– not clear.”
