“Have no fear, the Schnecksville Community Fair will be held in 2016,” announced Fair President Emory Minnich.
“The state budget stalemate had a lot of folks wondering if the Fair would be coming back, and we are happy to respond with a definite ‘Yes.’”
The 2016 Fair, with the theme, “We Have Good Things Growing,” is June 20-25 on the grounds of the Schnecksville Fire Company.
“There will be plenty of amusement rides, live entertainment, food and exhibits, so be sure to mark your calendars,” said Minnich.
“With a mild winter and few snow days, school will not be in session for this year’s Fair, so along with adults, we hope to see a lot of youth bringing exhibits for a chance to win ribbons and monetary awards.”
The Fair will open at 5 p.m. Monday - Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission includes mechanical rides. A Senior Citizen admission price is in effect all week.
Featured entertainment is Hansen’s Spectacular Acrobatic Sensations, a family thrill show.
Fireworks is on Friday night.
Brad Matchettt’s Agricadabra and Comedy Hypnotist shows will be on stage each evening.
Quarter Midget Racing will take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The Masters of the Chainsaw competition is returning.
Blue ribbons will be awarded winners in the animal, baking, home arts and farm products contests.
Premium books are available at many businesses in the Schnecksville vacinity and on the website.
