Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors names Lerner as sales director

Tammy Lerner has been named Sales Director for the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors.

Lerner is responsible for selling advertising space for the Greater Lehigh Valley Real Estate Weekly, GLVR’s real estate listings publication, and for the GLVR website, as well as selling membership in the GLVR Sponsor-Affiliate programs to real estate-related businesses. She will also work with local media to create value-added advertising packages for GLVR members.

Lerner, who began her career in advertising sales, working primarily with non-profit associations and Chambers of Commerce. She previously worked for the association in 1996 when it was first established as the Lehigh Valley Association of Realtors, a name it held until merging with the Carbon County Association of Realtors to form GLVR in 2014. She was the first Director of Marketing.

“I believe Tammy’s extensive background in sales will be a key asset for both our membership and our organization as a whole,” said Justin R. Porembo, CEO of GLVR.

“It really feels like coming home,” said Lerner, referring to her return to the professional association. “It’s familiar but yet very new. The association I was a part of many years ago has really grown and evolved into such an influential entity and a valuable resource for members and the public.”

Most recently, Lerner was involved in government affairs, as vice president and a founding member of the Foundation to Abolish Child Sex Abuse, a regional non-profit organization that lobbies to change laws to better protect children.

Lerner received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Columbia University.
