Reported by a resident in the 1000 block of Village Round, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors broke into the residence and removed cash and jewelry between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. April 30. David Balliet, 63, of Emmaus, was charged with simple assault, harassment and false imprisonment after he allegedly assaulted a woman in the 4900 block of Mill Road, Upper Milford Township, 10 p.m. April 25. Balliet allegedly threw the woman to the ground and choked her and would not allow the woman to leave. The woman was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-03.

Matthew Mackenzie, 27, of Northampton, was charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on U.S. Route 222 South at Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:32 p.m. April 25. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.

Chelsea L. Washington, 29, of Allentown, was charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop along U.S. Route 222 South just south of Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, April 27. According to police, Washington had marijuana, a scale and other drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.

Reported by a resident in the 4900 block of Cypress Street, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors removed a 2007 Chevrolet GMC vehicle between midnight and 3:30 a.m. April 25. The vehicle was later found on Shepherd Hills Lane, Lower Macungie Township.

Reported by Nick Sirvano and Son Construction, of Horsham, Montgomery County, unknown actors removed a yellow 2006 Case skid steer loader, valued at $25,000, from a construction site on Krocks Road and the Route 222 bypass, Lower Macungie Township, between 5 p.m. April 26 and 7:35 a.m. April 27. Reported by a Lower Macungie Township resident, a bicycle was removed from a bike rack at Willow Lane Elementary School, 6135 Sauerkraut Lane, Lower Macungie Township, between 8:40 a.m. and 7 p.m. April 27.
