Seed Farm to have plant sale on May 14

The Seed Farm will have its second annual plant sale 9 a.m.-4 p.m. May 14 at 5854 Vera Cruz Road, Emmaus.

There will be a wide variety of non-GMO vegetables, herbs and specialty cut flowers grown by farmer training program participants and staff.

All plants are grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.

There will be old favorites, some hard-to-find specialty items and vermicomposting bins on hand to get gardens off to a delicious start and a variety of family activities throughout the day including:

•Children’s seed-ball making with LaFarm, Lafayette College’s garden and working farm.

•Native American storytelling with local educator and specialist Rob Aptaker.

•Wild Edibles Plant Walk with Rob Aptaker.

•Yoga at the Farm with Emmaus Yoga. Instructors will introduce participants to a flowing style of yoga called Ashtanga.

There will be four instructors to assist beginners and seasoned yoga practitioners in finding the version of the pose that suits them best. Bring along a mat.

•Penn State Extension Master Gardener Information Booth.

There is a small fee and registration is needed to attend the plant walk and yoga class.
