The Woman’s Club of Whitehall has chosen Gazal Jabir as Girl of the Month for April.

A Whitehall High School senior, she is the daughter of Yousif Jabir and Houida Alnamous.

Jabir has earned high honor roll for all marking periods of high school.

She is president of the Class of 2016.

She is a member of Student Council, Debate Team, SERVE Club, Human Rights Club, Drama Club, Book Club, Model UN, Science Olympiad, Muslim Students Association and Prom Committee (chairperson). She is also a staff member of the school newspaper.

Jabir is a member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Science National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.

She has won the Poetry Out Loud contest at both the local and regional levels, Science Olympiad, Model UN, MALV speech competition and IECPA Leadership Award.

She volunteers her time helping to clean up the Whitehall Parkway and at Sacred Heart Hospital and her mosque.

She planned and hosted a 5-K run to raise money for medical aid and supplies for refugee camps abroad.

Jabir will attend DeSales University and LECOM Medical School to become an OB/GYN.
