Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network will offer a free stroke screening event 9 a.m. to noon at the Health & Technology Center, 850 S. 5th St., Allentown. The public is welcome to attend. Screening stations are available to assess fall risk, glucose and cholesterol, blood pressure, height and weight values, as well as health and wellness education with personalized stroke risk assessments. Enter the Health & Technology Center from the third floor of the garage.

Walk2Connect Macungie will hold its second walk starting 1 p.m. at Legacy Oaks Clubhouse, Donegal Drive behind McDonald’s. Walkers will go to Brandywine Fire House for a short tour and to Osaka Asian Fusion Cuisine for a sushi demonstration. The goals of Walk2Connect Macungie are to get to know some neighbors, get some mild exercise and learn about the local community within walking distance.
