SALISBURY POLICE
A resident who lives in the 1700 block of 33rd Street, returned to the home 10:03 p.m. April 15 to discover an unknown actor had entered the home through a kitchen window by removing the screen and prying open the window. A class ring, swimming medals, miscellaneous jewelry and cash were removed from the home. The actor exited the home through the same window, replacing the screen.
Francisco Almonte, 27, of Bronx, N.Y. and Yaneris Rogue, 31, of Bronx, N.Y. were charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property following an incident at BonTon, 3300 Lehigh St. 4:30 p.m. April 16. Rogue was also charged with unauthorized use of a credit card. Almonte and Rogue allegedly went through the store placing various items in a cart and proceeding to the cash register. After purchasing $1,088 of merchandise on a credit card, the cashier asked for identification which Rogue allegedly pulled up on a phone. After exiting the store, the two were greeted by Salisbury police who determined the credit card was stolen. Almonte and Rogue were taken to Central Booking for processing.
An unknown actor removed a lighter from an unlocked car in the 700 block of East Paoli Street 1:22 p.m. April 16.
A resident in the 900 block of East Lynnwood Street reported 9 a.m. April 16 an E-ZPass was removed from an unlocked car.
Salisbury police noticed an interior light on in a vehicle parked in the 1500 block of Tweed Avenue 1:52 a.m. April 16 and alerted the homeowner. The homeowner said a black backpack was missing containing basic survival items. Some of the items were recovered later at the corner of the street and returned to the resident.
An unknown actor entered a vehicle parked in the 400 block of East Paoli Street sometime between 11:30 p.m. April 15 and 9 a.m. April 16. There was no sign of forced entry. Jumper cables were removed valued at $50.
A resident in the 800 block of East Paoli Street reported 1:50 p.m. April 16 an unknown actor entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a Garmin GPS and a wallet containing $45.
A resident in the 1800 block of Sherwood Road reported 1 p.m. April 21 a gray backpack was removed from an unlocked vehicle. The backpack contained a Salisbury Township School District issued laptop as well as other items. The backpack was recovered 11 p.m. April 21; all items were recovered but the laptop.
A Salisbury resident in the 2800 block of Edgemont Drive reported 3:44 p.m. April 21 an unknown actor dumped trash in the front yard and moved mulch all around.
A resident in the 1300 block of Fretz Avenue told police a vehicle alarm was sounded 5:37 a.m. April 17 and asked police to check the area.
A resident in the 20 block of West Cherokee Street reported 11:07 a.m. April 19 a work vehicle was entered. The driver’s side door was ajar and the glove box was open. Nothing was reportedly removed. There was no damage to the vehicle.
A resident in Devonshire Park Apartments, 1641 33rd St. reported 9:58 a.m. April 18 an unknown person shot a vehicle windshield with a BB gun. The resident said it happened last year as well.
An unknown actor removed a 2005 Toyota from a home in the 3500 block of Country Club Road which was reported 8:47 a.m. April 19. The vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside. The car was recovered in Allentown 11:38 p.m. April 20.
Police were called to KidsPeace, 1650 Broadway, for the report of an 8-year-old male out of control. The child was taken to St. Luke’s University Health Network for evaluation.
