EMMAUS POLICE

Jillene A. Bogert, 52, of Emmaus, was arrested for retail theft after allegedly removing miscellaneous toiletries valued at $50 from CVS, 702 Chestnut Street, April 7. Charges were filed through District Court 31-2-03.

Carl D. Madonna, 36, of Macungie, was arrested for retail theft after allegedly removing lottery tickets valued at $300 from Topstar Express/Exxon gas station, 14 E. Main Street, April 12. Charges were filed through District Court 31-2-03.

The Emmaus Police Department responded to Emmaus High School, 500 Macungie Ave., April 21 and received as evidence nine “edibles” confiscated by school staff members. The edibles were crackers filled with Nutella spread laced with suspected marijuana. EHS staff identified one student who had an edible in his possession and in turn were able to identify the student who supplied the edible. The edibles are being tested for the presence of marijuana. The investigation continues.
