Golfers needed for annual tournament

April is halfway over, the PSSA’s are underway and the weather is finally feeling like spring.

The 17th Annual Frank Yelinko Memorial Fund Golf Tournament is looking for golfers. The tournament will be held May 17 at the Iron Lakes Country Club. There will be a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. There is fee per golfer. The fee includes golf, cart, gift, lunch, and prizes. The Pennsylvania System of School Assessment tests continue through the end of the month in all township schools. Any necessary make-ups exams will be held during the first week of May.

The next curriculum and technology meeting will be held 7 p.m. April 25 at the administration building, 1140 Salisbury Road.

The next T-shirt day at Harry S Truman Elementary School is April 28. Don’t forget to wear your leadership shirts.

The next operations committee meeting will be 7 p.m. May 2 in the administration building.

The next HST PTO meeting will be 7 p.m. May 2.

May 3 will be field day for HST students in first and second grades. A rain date is scheduled May 18. Look for more information to be sent home with your student.

May 4 will be the next Falcon Pride day. Wear your falcon attire and show your school spirit.

Also May 4, Salisbury High School will host an education program for heroin and opioid addiction prevention. This program will begin 6:30 p.m. and is presented by the Center for Humanistic Change in coordination with SHS. All Salisbury Township parents and any interested community members are invited to learn about the epidemic currently plaguing the Lehigh Valley.

HST will host a spring concert featuring third grade students and the chorus 2 p.m. May 5.

The Salisbury High School Athletic Booster club continues to sell car magnets. Magnets can be purchased at all schools or at the administration building.
