State Police Beat

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Kan Chui Cheng, 34, of Orefield, was stopped for an alleged traffic violation 2:12 a.m. March 24 on I-78 West, Weisenberg Township.

Police allege Cheng was driving under the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

He was taken into custody and charges were filed with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a 36-year-old New Tripoli man was stopped for an alleged traffic violation around 9:30 p.m. on April 6 on Kernsville Road at Route 100, Lowhill Township.

Police allege the man was under the influence of alcohol.

He was transported to Lehigh County Central Booking for processing and a legal blood draw, police say.

Charges were filed against the man for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Charles Joseph Hall reported to police the gas cap from his vehicle was stolen 3:46 p.m. on March 9 while it was parked at 6163 Seanor Court, Washington Township, say State Police Troop M Bethlehem.

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a 49-year-old man reported to police several items were stolen sometime between March 1 and April 1 from a storage building at 10242 Walbert Court, Weisenberg Township.

Police say access was gained through the front and rear doors.

Leslie Jean Donegan, of Macungie, reported two windows on her vehicle were smashed between 5 p.m. April 3 and 1:12 a.m. the next day while it was parked at 7657 Pony Road, Lowhill Township, say State Police Troop M Fogelsville.
