Ceremony April 24 at KVM Memorial

There will be a ceremony honoring the most recent entries to the Korea Vietnam Memorial Plaza 2 p.m. April 24.

The KVM will also celebrate the 11th anniversary of the dedication of the U.S. Armed Forces Plaza.

The program will be in the Community Services Center on the campus of Lehigh Carbon Community College, Schnecksville.

Parking is available in front of the building, which is handicapped accessible.

Gloria Lowell, Lehigh Carbon Community College veterans specialist, will discuss opportunities available to veterans who are entering college.

Student veterans will relate their experiences in college life.

Guest speaker will be Sharon Schell, registered nurse at the VA Outpatient Clinic, Allentown.

She is the daughter of World War II veteran Charles Remington, who died last year at age 90. Schell will share her father’s account of the Battle of the Bulge.

A reception will follow the program.

Everyone is invited to visit the plaza to honor all veterans and recognize the new entries.

KVM appreciates the support veterans, families and the public provide.

Donations are tax deductible and are accepted to maintain the plaza.
