A 41-year-old New Tripoli man was killed when the Chevrolet Scottsdale 10 pickup he was driving at 5:58 p.m. April 8 rolled over on Schochary Road, Lynn Township.
Toby Burns of 7927 Bausch Road, was pronounced dead at 7:16 p.m. the same day at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim said.
Grim said Burn’s death was due to injuries he received in the single-vehicle accident.
The manner of death was ruled an accident, Grim said.
According to State Police Troop M Fogelsville, the pickup was traveling north on Schochary Road, approximately ¼ mile south of Bachman Road, when Burns allegedly failed to stay within his lane.
It then crossed the white fog line to the right, before continuing off the right side of the roadway where it began to roll.
The pickup then came to a final rest facing southeast on the roadside with its four tires on the ground.
Burns was ejected as it rolled, police say.
New Tripoli Fire Department and Cetronia Ambulance Corps assisted at the scene.
