Daniel Meckes of Danielsville, Moore Township, and Kristine Garner of Catasauqua announce the engagement of their daughter, Taryn Meckes, to Joshua Yoo, son of Michael Yoo of Jim Thorpe and Kim Yoo of Catasauqua.

The bride-elect is a graduate of The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. She works for Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem and is a student at Lehigh Carbon Community College.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Misericordia University and works for the Borough of Catasauqua and Catasauqua Area School District.

They reside in Catasauqua.

An October 2017 wedding is planned.
