LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q: What grade are you in?

A: I am in the 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?

A: My favorite subject is biology because it allows me to apply physics and chemistry to life and I learn about many topics pertaining to health and medicine in life.

Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A: I was a commended student as a part of the National Merit Scholarship and I was Coordinated Health’s Athlete of the Week for being a leader of my swim team.

Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A: I am a member of the Emmaus swim team and I have also been a member of the jazz band, symphonic band and marching band.

Q: What is your next goal after high school?

A: I will study biomedical engineering and pursue medical school to become a doctor.

Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A: My biggest challenge so far has been to find time to fit everything in. My heavy course load in school alone is enough to fill up most of my free time but I am also in the pool before and after school most days for swimming. It is pretty exhausting, especially during swim season.

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?

A: I want to be remembered for my hard work that I have put into the past couple of years, in and out of school. I also want to be remembered as a leader from swimming because I have poured my heart into the team in the past four years. I also hope that the wild things I have done such as Crazy Shave before districts will be remembered for a while.

Q: Who is in your family?

A: My family is my mother, Carol, my brother, Jerry and our four dogs, Kenny, Sophie, Roxy and Rosie.

Q: Do you have someone you look up to?

A: I look up to many qualities in others, but I do not have one specific person I look up to because I want to be my own person.

Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?

A: I would advise others to enjoy every second of their current life, because each new stage truly does fly by. But also to take time for yourself, so you do not become overwhelmed with everything happening around you.
