Salisbury prom tickets available beginning April 11

SHS students participated in Penn State’s German Day 2016 March 31 at Penn State University. Activities included a poster and movie competition, a spelling bee, poetry recitation and a German trivia game.

It is prom season, Salisbury! This year’s prom will be held 6 to 10 p.m. May 14 at Lehigh University Mountaintop Campus (Iacocca Hall). Seniors are invited to attend senior hour 5 to 6 p.m. Prom tickets will be on sale during lunches April 11 to 22 for seniors and juniors only. There is a cost.

Seniors who have paid all their class dues by April 1 will be allowed to purchase reduced-price tickets April 4 to 8. Only reduced-price tickets will be sold that week. Dinner at the prom will be served 6:30 p.m. and students must make their dinner choice at the time of ticket purchase. The three dinner choices are: grilled marinated flank steak and house steak sauce, Parmesan crusted chicken with Campari tomatoes and fresh mozzarella or cheese ravioli with vegetables in a creamy Alfredo sauce.

Anyone bringing a guest who is not a student of Salisbury High School must fill out a guest form and return it by May 1. The forms are available outside Room 121 and must be returned to either Kate Hutchinson in Room 138 or Kelly Butterbaugh in Room 121.

The Salisbury High School Baseball Booster Club will host a fundraising night 4 to 10 p.m. April 6 at Texas Roadhouse, Hamilton Boulevard, Trexlertown. If you present the flyer (or show a copy on your phone) for your dine-in, carry-out or gift card purchases that evening, Texas Roadhouse will donate 10 percent of the total purchase to SHS baseball. Support the SHS baseball team while you enjoy some great food.

The end of the third marking period is April 8.

The United States Marine Corps will visit SHS 9 a.m. April 13. Interested juniors and seniors must obtain a pass from the school counseling office at least one day prior to the college visit.

The Emmaus High School Counseling Department will host the fourth annual college fair 6 to 8 p.m. May 4 in the EHS gyms. Over 100 representatives from colleges, technical schools and the military branches are anticipated. As a result of the overwhelming turnout the past three years, both gyms will be used to accommodate families and college representatives. For more information, call 610-965-1660.
