Board appoints, reappoints county residents to fill various posts

The Lehigh County Board of Commissioners unanimously appointed and reappointed a number of area residents to fill board, authority and administration posts at the March 23 meeting.

Commissioner Geoff Brace said the governance committee recommended the appointment and reappointment of the individuals.

William Erdman, of Upper Macungie Township, was reappointed to serve on the Lehigh County Conservation District. His term will expire Dec. 31, 2019.

E. Harry McGuirk, of North Whitehall Township, was reappointed to serve on the Lehigh County Industrial Development Authority, with a term expiring Dec. 31, 2020.

Becky Bradley, of Heidelberg Township, was reappointed to serve on the Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority. Her term will expire Dec. 31, 2020.

Bryce Ruggieri, of Lower Macungie Township, was appointed to the Lehigh County Small Business Revolving Loan Fund Administration, with a term ending Dec. 31, 2018.

The commissioners also reappointed Sean Brown, of South Whitehall Township, to serve on the Lehigh County Drug & Alcohol Advisory Board. His term will expire Dec. 31, 2018.

Additionally, Jenny Kemps, of Upper Milford Township, Stephen Vangelo, of Salisbury Township, and the Rev. Greg Wollenhaupt, of Macungie, were all appointed to the advisory board, with terms ending Dec. 31, 2018.

The board appointed Joseph Arnoldin, of Allentown, to the Lehigh County Mental Health & Intellectual Disability Advisory Board. His term will end Dec. 31, 2018.

Those reappointed to the advisory board include Edward Curran, of Allentown, Sister Janice Marie Johnson, of Salisbury Township, and Karen Shoemaker, of Upper Macungie Township, with terms expiring Dec. 31, 2018.
