Senior Ball set for May 28

As the school year draws to a close, prom preparations begin.

The annual Senior Ball will be held 6 to 10 p.m. May 28 at the Palace Center in Allentown. Doors will open 5:30 p.m. Tickets will be on sale May 2 to May 11 during all lunch periods. Students should note all debts must be paid before purchasing a ticket. For seniors bringing a guest who does not attend Emmaus High School, the necessary paperwork must be picked up in room 426 and returned before May 6. Failure to do so will result in denied entrance for the guest into the ball.

The senior picnic will be held May 27 in Emmaus Community Park and students will be dismissed after third period.

Republican Sen. Patrick Toomey and Congressman Charlie Dent, R-15th, will host an annual U.S. Service Academy information day 9 a.m. to noon April 2 at Hamburg High School. More information can be found in the counseling office. Representatives of the Air Force, Naval, Merchant Marine and Coast Guard academies, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the Reserve Officers Training Corps will be available to answer questions and provide students with a better understanding of the nomination and admissions process.

Several EHS students traveled internationally over spring break. Spanish students and their teachers Steve Kutz and Janelle Hess explored Spain, touring cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Cordoba and Granada. Latin students traveled to Greece and Italy, while music and art students toured several European countries, including France, England, Italy and Spain.
