An 11-year-old female student at Salisbury Middle School, 3301 Devonshire Road, brought a box cutter knife to school which was discovered 2:55 p.m. March 21. Charges will be filed.

A resident in the 1100 block of Washington Avenue reported 6:16 p.m. March 21 a VISA card was used for two unauthorized purchases. One charge was for a package valued at $119 delivered to an address in Allentown and a second charge was made for $400. Police are investigating.

Numerous mailboxes were reported knocked down and turf was damaged in the 1700 to 2200 blocks of Greenwood Road 6:55 a.m. March 22. This is currently under investigation.

Matthew Moyer, 40, of Lehighton, was charged with alleged possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Marlow Street 5:29 p.m. March 22. Police found Moyer in his car with the car running and Moyer was unresponsive. Police turned off the car and observed signs of an overdose. He was taken to St. Luke’s University Health Network.

Melissa Smolick, 37, of Allentown, was charged with simple assault and harassment following an incident in the 1200 block of East Susquehanna Street 11:31 p.m. March 23. Smolick allegedly punched the victim. She was taken to Central Booking for processing.
