A new activity will take place at the Weisenberg Lowhill Historical Society. A quilting group will be working on a quilt to be raffled at the fall festival.
The first meeting will be 2 p.m. April 19 at the society’s headquarters, 4585 Werleys Corner Road, New Tripoli.
Anyone in the community who likes to quilt or who would like to learn is invited to attend.

Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will host a spring clothing collection in connection with Fashion Republic.
Soft toys, shoes (men’s, women’s, and children’s), bicycles, hard toys, and baby accessories (bottles, pacifiers, sippy cups and diapers) are needed.
All sizes of clothing, curtains, bedding, and anything of fabric will be accepted. Shoes should be bagged or boxed separately.
Items may be “slightly used,” and need to be dropped off before April 27.
A Butterfly Tea and Quilt Exhibit will be offered at Ziegels from 12:30-4 p.m. April 23.
The luncheon will be 12:30-2 p.m. The quilt exhibit will be 2-4 p.m.
Speaker for the day will be Becky Short, a Master Gardener.
Tickets for the luncheon, speaker, and quilt display must be purchased by April 17 by calling the church office at 610-285-6157.
Tickets for just the quilt exhibit will be available at the door. There will be a basket raffle, as well.
A hanging basket sale will be held in time for Mothers Day. Baskets and flats of bacopa, fuchsia, impatiens, million bells, New Guinea impatiens, ivy geranium and verbena will be available to purchase.
Deadline for orders is April 24. Pickup is between 10 a.m. and noon May 5 at Lehigh Valley Garden Center, 4220 Crackersport Road, South Whitehall.

A Youth Group Garden Party for kids in kindergarten through sixth grade will be offered 6-8 p.m. April 23.
The group will be doing some plantings and be making funny garden hats. Dessert will be served. To be a part of this event, call the church office to register.

The Social Ministry Committee of Weisenberg Lutheran Church, 7645 Weisenberg Church Road, New Tripoli, will be having a potluck lunch after Sunday School April 10.
Then stay and enjoy a faith-filled humorous skit by Emma and Effie, two little old Pa. Dutch characters who share their ministry with a touch of laughter.
They will be performing a skit titled, “Take Care of Your Body...It’s the Only One You Get to Live In.”
The skit begins 1 p.m. and is for individuals of all ages.
A free-will offering will be taken and shared with a needy family in the community.
