James Peter Turek, 60, of Pottstown, was denied purchase of a firearm after a background check at Sentinel Firearms Mfg, Upper Milford Township, 7:34 p.m. Oct. 21, 2015. Police investigation and consultation with the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office prompted charges of one count each of unsworn falsification and sale or transfer of firearms to be filed in District Court 31-3-03.

Reported at a residence in the 5000 block of Oak Lane, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors entered a locked residence at removed a shotgun, rifle, pistol and cash between March 15 and March 18. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.

Matthew Arthur Goldman, 33, of Emmaus, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop along Chestnut Street just south of Second Street in Emmaus borough for an alleged vehicle code violation 1:52 a.m. March 9. Charges were filed in District Court 31-2-03.

Reported in the 2800 block of Churchview Road, Lower Milford Township, unknown actors removed $5,850 worth of construction equipment from a construction site between 4 p.m. March 17 and 7:30 a.m. March 18. Reported by 47-year-old woman in the 5300 block of Limeport Road, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors removed a wallet from a purse on the front passenger while parked at Elite Sports Academy, Emmaus. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.

Reported by a 47-year-old resident along Sigmund Road, Upper Milford Township, an unnamed suspect took approximately $4,800 between Nov. 27, 2015 and March 15 by using personal checks and ATM cards. The investigation continues.

Diana Christina Hackert, 27, of Emmaus, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly paid for some items but not others while using the self-check aisle at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:19 p.m. March 17. According to police, Hackert did not pay for $221.47 worth of merchandise. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.

Reported at CVS, 958 S. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors removed merchandise without paying full retail price Feb. 26.

Jose Rivera, 25, of New Tripoli and Brock Arner, 25, of Orefield, are charged with retail theft after they allegedly were caught removing merchandise from Walmart, 2091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:52 p.m. March 10. Charges were field in District Court 31-3-02.

Edwin Javier Torres-Santini, 26, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly removed a Razor Pocket Mod Electric Scooter Kiki from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:35 p.m. March 12. According to police, Torres-Santini allegedly put a scooter, valued at $249, into his shopping cart and exited the store without paying for the item. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.

Reported by a resident of Elbow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors used spray paint to damage a shed between 9 p.m. March 18 and 11 a.m. March 19. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.

Reported by a 47-year-old male resident in the 1000 block of Morning Star Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors opened a fraudulent account in the resident’s name in November 2013. The account was discovered during a recent credit check. The investigation continues.

A 17-year-old male, of Macungie, faces charges of possessing drug paraphernalia after a witness told police the youth hid drug paraphernalia next to a utility pole along Zola Court, Lower Macungie Township, 11:15 a.m. Nov. 12.

Reported by two residents of the 3000 block of Sequoia Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors filed a fraudulent tax return using the identities of the residents Feb. 14. The Internal Revenue Service was alerted and the incident remains under investigation.

Reported by a resident of Meadow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, the Internal Revenue Service notified the resident someone filed a tax return using her information March 9. The investigation continues.

Drug paraphernalia possession

Miles Carpenter, 21, of Maryland, was accused of alleged possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic violation along the Route 222 bypass at Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:21 p.m. Feb. 7. Carpenter was released at the scene.

A 17-year-old male, of Allentown, is suspected of possession of a small amount of marijuana and additional associated drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in Rodale Park, 2001 Riverbend Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:26 p.m. March 10. Charges are pending.

Reported by a resident in the 4000 block of Mountain Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors broke the passenger side and rear window of a Ford F-150 truck resulting in $500 damage March 5.

Reported by an Emmaus female in the 2600 block of Arbor Circle, Lower Macungie Township, a dog allegedly owned by Carl Kovacs, 56, of Emmaus, left its yard and bit the Emmaus woman’s dog resulting in a $269 veterinarian bill Feb. 26.

An 18-year-old female, of Coopersburg, was charged with speeding after the vehicle she was driving overturned several times along Steinsberg, Lower Milford Township, 7:31 a.m. March 4. According to police, the driver was southbound and negotiating a left curve on the roadway when she lost control and the car traveled off the west edge of the road, overturned two or three times and came to a final stop facing north in an area of weeds and brush. The driver was not injured. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Detweiler’s Towing.

A 26-year-old female, of West Chester, faces charges of harassment after she punched and kicked a 33-year-old Easton woman in the 3900 block of Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, 5:10 p.m. Feb. 27.

Reported by a 25-year-old female, of Allentown, at a business in the 5400 block of Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, male co-workers harassed the woman between Oct, 1, 2015 and Feb. 29. The investigation continues.

Reported by two residents of the 1300 block of Dayspring Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors filed a fraudulent tax return using the residents’ identity March 9. The Internal Revenue Service was contacted and this incident is under investigation, according to police.

Reported by a 65-year-old male resident in the 5500 block of Spring Ridge Drive East, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors used the resident’s credit card information to purchase items from Walmart between March 4 and March 8. The investigation continues.
