Nolan Marcks, 18, of Macungie, is accused of driving under the influence after an alleged traffic stop for multiple violations along Wild Cherry Road at Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:10 p.m. Feb. 13. Police said Marcks had recently smoked marijuana and then drove his vehicle.
A 21-year-old woman, of South Whitehall Township, was charged with driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Hamilton Boulevard and Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:12 a.m. Feb. 28. Police determined the woman was under the influence of alcohol and she was taken into custody. Charges were to be filed through District 31-3-02.
Brian Weghofer, Jr., 26, of Whitehall, was charged after an alleged incident involving retail theft at Giant, Lower Macungie Township, between 2:37 p.m. Feb. 23 and 2:19 p.m. Feb. 24. Charges were filed through District Court 31-3-02.
Laura May Propsner, 33, of Alburtis, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly removed numerous items without paying for the items from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:10 p.m. March 5. Charges were filed at District Court 31-3-02.
Elliott Zachary Senseman, 21, of Fogelsville, was taken into custody for alleged retail theft after he was detained by loss prevention personnel at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:47 March 7. Charges were filed in District Court 31-3-02.
Reported by a 90-year-old male resident in the 4200 block of East Texas Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors attempted to distract the homeowner by questioning the property line at the residence March 1. While the resident was outside with one of the unknown actors, a second person entered the residence and attempted to remove items. Both people fled the scene. Reported by a resident in the 4600 block of Indian Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered a shed on the property and removed several tools between Dec. 24, 2015 and Feb. 6. The investigation continues.
Reported by a resident in the 7600 block of Ball Gate Road, Lower Milford Township, unknown actors forced open the front door of a residence and, once inside, rummaged through drawers, forced open a safe and removed various pieces of jewelry, rare coins and currency and a pillowcase. The burglary is similar to recent burglaries in Berks and Montgomery counties, according to police. Reported by a male resident in the 1700 block of Locust Lane, Lower Macungie Township, Feb. 29 unknown individuals notified the resident he won the lottery and asked him to send money as collateral to secure his claim to his winnings. He mailed the money to an address in Maryland and never heard back about his prize.
Reported by a 27-year-old Allentown man at Millwood Corporation, 8018 Quarry Road, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor removed his cellphone during a lunch break Feb. 23.
Reported by a resident of the 5400 block of Geissinger Road, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors removed a package from the front porch of the residence between 10:50 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Feb. 24.
Reported by a resident in the 1000 block of Manor Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors attempted to get the resident to send money via Moneygram.
Reported by a business owner in the 5400 block of Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, an employee was stealing money between Feb. 11 and 28. The investigation continues.
Reported by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation at Vera Cruz Fire Co., 4093 Main Road West, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors removed a Stihl brand chain saw from a PennDOT construction site at the location between 2 p.m March 1 and 8:15 a.m. March 2.
