Q. What grade are you currently in?

A. I am currently in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is definitely science, specifically anatomy and physiology and psychology. Science is integral to nearly everything we do; learning and understanding the world’s dynamic is indispensable yet challenging and I have grown to love it.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I have received recognition as a member of National Honor Society in my junior and senior years. I have placed first in both regional and state competitions in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science.

Q. What extracurricular activities are you involved in, both in and out of school?

A. I am the vice president of my class, secretary of Students Against Destructive Decisions, a member of class advisory, Key Club and the environmental club. I have played girls soccer for four years and have participated in track and field as well as softball for Salisbury. I peer tutor and frequently volunteer at various organizations. I am also employed at BounceU.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. I plan to attend Saint Joseph’s University to study chemical biology with a minor in business. Later in life, I hope to one day open my own non-profit organization for underprivileged children.

Q. What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A. I would have to say my biggest challenge was balancing my schoolwork and extracurriculars while recovering from my ACL tear injury.

Q. What do you want to be remembered for?

A. I want to be remembered for my positivity, sense of humor and compassion.

Q. Who is in your family?

A. My family consists of my parents, Bassam and Mona, and my siblings, Albert and Shanon.

Q. Do you have someone you look up to?

A. I look up to both of my parents for their devotion and hard work. They have given me everything I could possibly need and they never fail to make me smile.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. Don’t stress, just work hard and you will end up where you are meant to be.
