Master workshop

opens March 28

The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Lehigh and Northampton Counties are conducting two different classes in March and April at Gracedale, the Lehigh County agricultural center and the Upper Saucon Township community park.

The spring garden series are at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. on March 28 and April 4 at Gracedale Tower, 2 Gracedale Ave., Nazareth; and at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. on March 29 and April 5 at Lehigh County Agricultural Center, 4184 Dorney Park Road, Allentown.

Topics include raised bed gardening, native plants, small space gardening and container gardens.

There will be a gardening for birds and making gourd birdhouses workshop from 9 to 11 a.m. April 9 at the Gracedale Tower.

Rain Barrel workshops will be held at 9, 10:15, and 11:30 a.m. on April 23 at Upper Saucon Township Community Park.
