Barbara Ann Theel

Barbara Ann (Mick) Theel, 78, died suddenly Feb. 24, 2016, near her home in Macungie. She was the wife of William Theel for 58 years. She moved to Macungie a few years ago with her husband where they found a close network of friends they enjoyed walking with, crazy bunny hops, afternoon teas, eating at the diner and musical concerts. Born in Montclair, N.J., she was the only child of the late Ann Janus Mick and Eddie Mick, of Caldwell, N.J.

She and her husband lived in Livingston, N.J., where she was a loving mother, Girl Scout leader, confidant and cheerleader to her three children, Karen Theel French, William Theel and Cindy Theel Williams and her two teenaged grandchildren, Michael Theel and Kevin Williams.

After their retirement in 1996, they moved briefly to the Reeders, in the Poconos before settling in the Wild Cherry Knoll community of Macungie to be near her daughter.

With a real zest for life, she loved nature, whether walking in the woods, gardening, feeding the birds, deer and foxes or strolling along the beach, as well as social activities with her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband; children Karen and her husband Lee French, William and Mary Ellen Argentieri and Cindy and her husband Gerald Williams; two grandchildren, Michael William and Kevin Shawn Williams.

Memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, 18017.

Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
